Websites, Blogs, & Podcasts
(Since I've added so many links to this page over the last several years it's a bit of a jumble, so I'm trying to rearrange it and group links according to subjects/categories in my spare time. This will definitely take several months (years?) though so please be patient. (^o^) )
In the meantime, I've added the majority of links on this page to my blogroll to make it easier to visit them.

♥ Bible Study Fellowship, International ♥ - BSF's Bible Study Class Locator Page
(introduction classes for prospective members are usually held during the first class meeting of the month) - The Dec. 2012 issue of BSF's magazine is available for viewing as a PDF here. Of course, in May '13 it will be replaced with the December 2012 issue. I always check their recommended reading list for books to add to my TBR list. * Unfortunately BSF no longer seems to be posting their newsletters. which is a bummer because I always appreciated their recommended book lists. Precept Camden has even more key word marking symbols & color schemes on her Key word symbols page. (Hint: If her pages don't print out correctly, try saving them on your desktop by right-clicking each page and then printing them from your desktop. That's how I was finally able to make them print correctly.) Key Word Marking bookmark (I print, cut out & then laminate them so they'll last longer or you can print them out on photo paper)

Miscellaneous odds & ends - just for fun - enjoy! ~ Jan :-)
Precept's Online Bible Studies ~ apparently they've discontinued the online classes, however there is now a Facebook group: Beloved Truth Bible Study Group where some online classes are offered They were primarily started several years ago by Alison Schuster through her website, Beloved Truth Ministries, {Update: It looks like a "new & improved" version of her website is back with online Bible studies and more teachers - don't know when all this came about since I was without real internet for about 6 months and was busy with moving before that. ☺} then she and Precept worked together and the online classes were moved to Precept's Connect site where it continued to grow. Then earlier this year they moved everything to their new Precept Social/Online Community website and closed down the Connect site. For any who would like more information about online Precept Bible studies, these videos that Alison put together are a good place to start, even though some thing about online studies have changed (right now they're held via WebEx) and will most likely continue to grow and change to fit people's needs. They now offer a variety of their studies, from PUP's to the 40-minute, no homework studies that the class works through together. If you're interested in signing up for a class you can sign up here and then join the Precept Online Classes group

Blogs/sites I rarely check anymore (but don't want to lose
track of)
Rethinking Vision Forum I haven't spent much time yet checking this one out. Warns against errors of (some of?) Vision Forum's teachings (& I don't really know much about Vision Forum either). *In light of the news about the founder of VF in the last year, I suspect this sites warnings were on target.

New to me
With reservations, since I don't know enough about these blogs yet to be able to say if they really are trustworthy or not but like some of what I've observed so far: - Echo Zoe - like what I've seen so far (and they have links to several sites I like and trust) - m'kayla's korner ~ has some good stuff (see Kathleen's article "When Bethel Invades Your Church" - I met Kathleen when she started attending the church we went to in Sonoma county after her experience with the Bethel-following church; that was the first I'd ever heard of Bethel/Bill Johnson). However, a few things at her blog are questionable, esp. the fact that she apparently is a follower of Jacob Prasch and he seems a bit off (maybe very off), at least the one video that I watched part of was questionable (I admit I got fed up with him & quit watching before it was over - I couldn't take anymore of his ranting - you can watch a condensed video on YouTube here). She also seems to think that John MacArthur is a heretic but she believes everything Prasch says and won't question his teachings. O.o - The Earthen Vessel - Jesus Culture Awakening (Warning against) - A Little Leaven ~ just happened across this one & haven't had enough time to really check it out yet *********************** Have been following for awhile and they seem trustworthy (I've even added most/several to my blogroll): - Theology for Girls ~ Diane Bucknell's blog - Heavenly Springs ~ a Reformed Christian blog - Daily on My Way to Heaven ~ Journeying Under His Sun, By His Grace - The Cripple Gate - Faith, Hope and Love -------------------------- - JR Sheets': Counting Everything ... & Growing Together & Mission Scotland blogs - C of C but seems okay - Grace Digest - another C of C blogger but he seems pretty good Not Recommended yet (at least not until I know more):

When they heard this, they came under deep conviction and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles: “Brothers, what must we do?” “Repent,” Peter said to them, “and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is for you and for your children, and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will call.” And with many other words he testified and strongly urged them, saying, “Be saved from this corrupt generation!” So those who accepted his message were baptized, and that day about 3,000 people were added to them. And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to the prayers. ~ Acts 2:37-42
And now, brothers, I know that you did it in ignorance, just as your leaders also did. But what God predicted through the mouth of all the prophets—that His Messiah would suffer—He has fulfilled in this way. Therefore repent and turn back, so that your sins may be wiped out, that seasons of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that He may send Jesus, who has been appointed for you as the Messiah. ~ Acts 3:17-20
When they heard this they became silent. Then they glorified God, saying, “So God has granted repentance resulting in life even to the Gentiles! ~ Acts 11:18
Therefore, having overlooked the times of ignorance, God now commands all people everywhere to repent, because He has set a day when He is going to judge the world in righteousness by the Man He has appointed. He has provided proof of this to everyone by raising Him from the dead. ~ Acts 17:30-31
I testified to both Jews and Greeks about repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus. ~ Acts 20:21
Therefore, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision. Instead, I preached to those in Damascus first, and to those in Jerusalem and in all the region of Judea, and to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works worthy of repentance. ~ Acts 26:19-20
Therefore, any one of you who judges is without excuse. For when you judge another, you condemn yourself, since you, the judge, do the same things. We know that God’s judgment on those who do such things is based on the truth. Do you really think—anyone of you who judges those who do such things yet do the same —that you will escape God’s judgment? Or do you despise the riches of His kindness, restraint, and patience, not recognizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance? But because of your hardness and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath, when God’s righteous judgment is revealed. He will repay each one according to his works : eternal life to those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor, and immortality; but wrath and indignation to those who are self-seeking and disobey the truth but are obeying unrighteousness; affliction and distress for every human being who does evil, first to the Jew, and also to the Greek; but glory, honor, and peace for everyone who does what is good, first to the Jew, and also to the Greek. There is no favoritism with God. ~ Rom 2:1-11
For godly grief produces a repentance not to be regretted and leading to salvation, but worldly grief produces death. ~ 2 Cor 7:10
