Ever since I read this review at this blog, I have been wanting to read Dear Mr. Knightley by Katherine Reay. It's an epistolary novel so should be a great way to wrap up the Month of Letters but our library doesn't have it and the Kindle version was $9.99 – a bit too expensive for me, especially on Kindle. So when I saw that Amazon is selling it for just $1.99 today, I turned on my Kindle and bought it then and there. Now to finish reading Emma and Emily Climbs so I can start reading my newest purchase. I just hope it's as good as I'm expecting it to be. ;-)
** Update: While searching for the original book review that piqued my interest, I found these reviews as well so I thought it would be fun to share them as well.
Pamela at Cappuccino And Art Journal has lots of great photos of the Ex Postal Facto mail event in San Francisco last weekend. Looks like it was lots of fun. Sadly, we now live a little too far away so I wasn't able to go.
The Kindle version of John MacArthur's new book of prayers, At the Throne of Grace, is on sale for just $1.99 right now.
And for a laugh, check out this video from Jimmy Kimmel of people on the street being asked about the "news" that FDR had just passed away. The young people must have slept through all of their history classes but the older couple should know better.
Hello! Welcome to my un-blog. I'm a Christian, a wife and mom, a bibliophile and a fan of the art of letter writing & Mail Art. ~ Jan
I'm not sure where to put this blog or how to classify it. This blogger is a daughter of a friend and while I'm pretty sure she's a Christian, it isn't a Christian blog, or books & reading or letter writing & mail art. It's basically about their travels so I'm putting it here for now: Jen's blog: 3toGo
