This summer Precept Ministries is offering several online Bible studies. One of them is a pilot of their new or reworked study of 1 Corinthians and one is Pam Gillaspie's newest Sweeter Than Chocolate study of Romans 8. Here's some info from their website/blog about the new 1 Cor pilot (the online class starts June 13): June 9th, we begin our newest pilot – Precept Upon Precept1 Corinthians. We have reworked our existing 2-part study of 1 Corinthians and will pilot the new study as a single, 12-week study. Now, along with people all over the world, you can join us in piloting this revised study!
Why study 1 Corinthians? 1 Corinthians is a letter to a first-century church with problems and questions. Were these problems unique to their time, or do they speak to us today in our culture in our times? Are their questions the same as today? And if so, are the answers the same? The truth is that the letters of the New Testament are God’s answers to churches then and now. Their answers are just as relevant and effective today as they were in the first century – timeless answers for questions and problems common to churches around the world from Corinth to your home town. Learn how to deal with them.
I'm not sure where to put this blog or how to classify it. This blogger is a daughter of a friend and while I'm pretty sure she's a Christian, it isn't a Christian blog, or books & reading or letter writing & mail art. It's basically about their travels so I'm putting it here for now: Jen's blog: 3toGo
