Sorry, for the lack of posts - between life being extra busy right now, the lure of the beautiful outdoors here in the mountains and spotty internet I've fallen way behind. I'm also behind on my correspondence but slowly catching up (even if some of it is just postcards) so wanted to share a few photos. Hopefully the internet and my phone will cooperate.
Someone shared this article on facebook about two women who have been pen pals since the second grade and will finally get to meet each other next month. It's a sweet story so I thought I'd share it here, as long as this internet connection and my phone will behave. The comment about getting mail when you're away at college resonated with me - my gram wrote me every week back when I attended college out of state. And I suspect that looking forward to a full mailbox back then helped ensure I'd be a snail mail fan for life. Here's the link if my phone didn't embed it right: http://m.fredericknewspost.com/community/people/article_a8c3ff11-0afe-5010-a322-0a2ca74d2867.html?mode=jqm I know it isn't exactly behaving as it should since the photos I posted of my recently mailed postcards seem to have disappeared.
Between basically no real internet, then both electrical and plumbing problems, as well as interruptions from this little guy, I only managed to write a few postcards (& no real letters yet - maybe this weekend). Once he's housebroken I'm sure he'll let me spend more time writing letters. :-) ------- Not sure why but I can't get the pictures I took of my postcards to post. Oh well, they're not as cute as the puppy.
My family and I are staying in the mountains for awhile and yesterday we were surprised by this thunderstorm, complete with hail. At least it's nice and cool. Sadly, I haven't had any time to write letters yet but I should have plenty of postcards ready to go out tomorrow or Friday.
I'm not sure where to put this blog or how to classify it. This blogger is a daughter of a friend and while I'm pretty sure she's a Christian, it isn't a Christian blog, or books & reading or letter writing & mail art. It's basically about their travels so I'm putting it here for now: Jen's blog: 3toGo
